How long does the ServSafe certification last?
The ServSafe Manager certification is valid for five (5) years, while the ServSafe Food Handler certification typically lasts three (3) years (requirements may vary by state).
What is the difference between the ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Food Handler certifications?

The ServSafe Manager certification is for supervisors, managers, and business owners responsible for food safety and regulatory compliance.

The ServSafe Food Handler certification is for employees working with food who need basic food safety knowledge.
A lot of food business owners and managers like to equip their staff with manager level food safety education, instead of sticking to the basic food handler course.

How do I get my ServSafe certification?
To get certified, you must complete a ServSafe course and pass the official ServSafe exam with a score of 75% or higher.
How long does a ServSafe class take?

The ServSafe Manager class typically lasts 6 hours, followed by the exam.

The Food Handler class is shorter, lasting about 2–3 hours.
Can I take the ServSafe exam online?
Yes, you can take the SerfSafe Food Handler assessment online without supervision. However, the online Servsafe Manager examination requires a proctor. Chef-Mind in-person classes include the proctored in-person exam, or you can schedule a proctored online exam if you prefer.
How soon will I get my ServSafe results?
